2016 National Twinshock Championships Round 4 Garstang Photos…… One of the most memorable aspects of this race meeting was the weather, the week leading up to the event saw the whole country pretty much divided down the middle, the eastern side had week long cloud keeping the temperatures down while the west had been bathed in lovely warm sunshine & what a cracker of a day Sunday was. The Garstang track is one of my favourites & I keep threatening to actually race there one day but never mind, the combination of sunshine & clear blue skies made the circuit a photographers dream location, if I couldn’t get some decent images on that day it was time to hang it up. As usual a good mixture of classic machinery turned out with the racing fast & frantic all the way through the field, the buzz bomb 125 Evos were going at it hammer & tongs, while the usual suspects were battling it out at the front of the Twinshock Experts group. A watchful eye saw that there is quite a battle going on mid pack in the clubman group at each round now, with 7 or 8 riders being of similar ability & this is what classic motocross is all about, you don`t have to be the absolute fastest guy out there, you set your own goals, Can I break into the top 10 ? Can I get fit enough to race as hard in the last race of the day as I can in the first or even race two classes ? It`s all there for the taking ladies & gentlemen. Enjoy the photos, Mr J
